Corruption

The biggest challenge soccer faces is corruption.  Corruption is common in soccer especially in other countries.  Just over the summer, 7 of Fifas top executives were arrested and are under investigation for "deep rooted" corruption.  They had allegedly accepted bribes in the world cup selections of South Africa 2010, Russia 2018, and Qatar 2022.  This is a big deal because Fifa is one of the most powerful and influential sports corporations.  They are trusted with all their power and money.  The corruption has been going on for years and if the corruption is to incline, the sport itself may become corrupt.
